Happy Birthday Drew!

First off Happy Birthday little brother!  I hope you have a wonderful day.  I love you!

Fatigue.  Wow, the fatigue is catching up with me.  I am so tired that I have found myself taking midday naps.  Now that is something I haven't had to do since college!  I don't know if it is the stress of the impending future or if it is the state that my colon is in.
(By the way, if any one would like to see pictures of the polyps in my colon.  Let me know.  I uploaded the pictures taken during my colonoscopy.  It is crazy to see, but it might not be for everyone.)

I am realizing that the timing is right for this surgery.  I doubt I could have ignored my symptoms much longer.  I am having to go to the bathroom at least 6-10 times a day.  And the amount of blood has definitely increased.

Both the fatigue and the frequent bathroom trips are making getting my "to do before surgery list"
a little more difficult to complete.  That and the fact that everyday I add something to it.

Well, speaking of that to do list, I probably should accomplish something off it today.   Plus I want to go play with my new iPod.  Figure that is a must for recovery.

(All pictures in today's post are of the future Dr and his also future Dr girlfriend)

Sorry to hear that you're feeling so fatigued! Give a holler if there's anything I can do to help with your to-do list. (Maribeth has my email)

Happy Birthday Drew you handson devil! Who's the hot lookin girl on your arm? We have to find out about your girlfriends on the internet! What's up with that.
Steph, stop worrying about the to-do-list and get some rest! All that stuff can wait - your health is more important.
Love, Aunt Paula

Hey Steph, As always I agree with your Aunt Paula. Those things on the to-do-list can wait and you'll find most were not that necessary anyway. Just pick a few and concentrate on those. So I would like to see the colonoscopy pictures if you can send them. Also what are the diet restrictions going to be? It is great that you know so much about nutrition. We all love you and are thinking of you constantly. Hang in there and I'll get the name of some comedy videos Tay likes---he is always watching them. Love ya-

PS Happy B-day Andy- sorry I could not get out there to see you. Glad to see pics of you....smile

Hi Steph--I just wanted to say hey as I am a fellow CRC person...while I got to keep my colon, I've been living the ostomy life for the last 111 days (not that I've been counting or anything). It sucks pretty bad, but it sucks a lot less than the alternative.

I know you've got a lot to accomplish before your pending surgery, but feel free to poke through my blog or shoot me an email if you have any questions, concerns, etc.

Wishing you all the best!

Holy Cow - I missed two birthdays! I hope two of the three men in your life had a fantastic birthday - many happy returns of the day Guys!!
I'll look over my list of books from book club and will let you know my favorites. I would also watch TV series - they are short so you will not feel obligated to watch hours at one time.
Thinking about you, Steph - much love Aunt Jay
