1 Step Forward 2 Steps Back, No Wait Make That 4 Steps back

Yesterday's procedure really set me back.  We had to re-up my pain meds, which was a little disappointing. I feel more like I did before I left the hospital.  I guess that is what happens when they reopen some incisions and then pull out a  6 inch tube that was inside me.  Yesterday was a real tease.  Not only did I get IV meds and knocked out, they also did local anesthesia.  So my entire middle was numb almost the whole day.
Sorry that is all I can post today, I have to go lay back down.  The dizziness and light headedness on top of the pain makes anything but laying on the couch impossible.  (I don't think "headedness" is  real word, but oh well I am in to much pain to figure out the correct grammar.)

Steph,

The more rest you get the quicker your body will heal. I'm glad the tube came out ok, and I'm sorry you're back to day one on the pain level.

Rest. Rest. Rest.

Erin

Sorry you had to go through that. That would be very frustrating to take a step back. Just think, after this, each day you will be a little bit than the day before.

Ditto everyone, especially Erin. Let people take care of you. Recommended tasks to outsource: updating your Netflix queue, bringing you Gatorade, and telling you how pretty you look. Compliments have been scientifically proven* to shorten healing time.

*In one person clinical trial I conducted after my surgery. ;)

Keep up the great work Steph - we're so proud of you. I heard you did some walking with Becky - that is fabulous and you will be back there faster than you realize. Listen to your body - it will tell you when it is ready for the next steps. Love Aunt Jay

On the plus side, the tube is out now and won't need to be taken out again!

Sorry to hear you've been making some steps backward, but you'll start moving forward again soon.

I haven't seen you in quite awhile but I am sure your as beautiful as ever and you will figure out a way to dress cute and not see your bag.
Looking forward to your next plog. Like your Aunt Paula, I too think I am addicted. This is the best thing I have ever been addicted to tho. Much love, Aunt Deb
